There are over 100 beauty treatments, including facials, massage and body wraps all administered by therapists skilled in the latest advances in spa techniques. The Herbal Wrap takes place in a subtly-lit room. Essential oils are burned to fragrance the atmosphere and promote a sense of calm. To relax the muscles and joints, the body is completely swathed in hot, steamy towels, steeped in fresh herbs, to help absorb toxins. The guest is left to relax until the towels have cooled and the herb mixture left on the skin. In the Paraffin manicure, hands are dipped in a warm paraffin wax bath, covering them to encourage hydration. The cooled paraffin is peeled away, leaving hands smooth and moisturised. Nails are then sculpted and polished. There is also a dining room and a private, outdoor relaxation garden.

There are four restaurants, including Ponte Vedra's signature restaurant, the Seafoam. The Golf Club overlooks the golf course and lagoon and has a relaxed lunch and dinner menu. The Outpost is a rustic, wooden-framed lodge. It has a wraparound porch and banquet themes like clambakes, pig roasts, turkey shoots and country and western nights. Things to do in Ponte Vedra Beach

Visit historic St Augustine, the oldest Spanish-settled town in the United States that pre-dates the Pilgrim Fathers. Sold to the United States in 1821, St Augustine soon became a thriving destination and is an important centre for Spanish culture. The many renovated colonial buildings include the Lighthouse, restored Spanish Quarter, cultural museums and there is a fortnightly ghost tour. Jacksonville is also located close to Ponte Vedra Inn & Club, and is a good option for excellent shopping, sports and eco-tourism.
