Previously a medieval castle then a splendid renaissance villa, the Relais La Suvera was transformed into a grand hotel by the Ricci family in the late 1980s. Each room has been lavishly decorated and meticulously restored with antique furniture, heirlooms, sculptures and paintings from the family's extensive art collection. Rooms of particular note are the stunning hall, the library and music hall, while the Maquise Campana Hall and reception area overlook the perfectly manicured terraced gardens. All of the guest rooms represent a different period in European history. For example, the imperial room is dedicated to Napolean, while the Marie Antoinette suite features 18th Century furniture from Versailles.

Luxury Hotel Facilities

Mountain biking, horse riding can be arranged, two function rooms with capacity for up to 60 people. Relax at the hotel’s health centre where you can enjoy free use of the steam bath, fitness facilities and the jacuzzi built inside a medieval cistern. Two cabins are available for a variety of treatments including Swedish massage, reflexology and facials. An open-air swimming pool, tennis court and gift shop are some of the other features of this unique hotel.

Elegant fare with a Tuscan flair is served at L’Oliviera, an ancient olive oil mill. Locally produced wines are offered exclusively to guests staying at Hotel Relais La Suvera.
