St James's Hotel and Club retains its Michelin Star and is awarded five AA red stars
Great Hotels of the World is delighted to announce that Seven Park Place at the St James's Hotel and Club has retained its Michelin Star in the Michelin Guide Great Britain and Ireland 2012. The Great Hotels of the World member hotel's restaurant is headed up by William Drabble and serves a changing menu of modern French cuisine inspired by the seasons.
Additionally, at the prestigious AA Hospitality Awards, St James's Hotel and Club proudly received the ultimate accolade of 5 red stars. These awards recognise only the very best in the hospitality industry in Great Britain and St James's Hotel and Club joins just three other hotels in having received this recognition.

Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve’s spas introduce new treatments and products
Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve, a member of Great Hotels of the World Luxury Collection, has extended its current spa treatments and products at its Amani Spa. Its treatment team recently completed training with Babor, one of the leading brands in the skincare industry worldwide. Babor is the latest system being used for various facials on Sabi Sabi’s treatment menu. A new range of local body products, Matsimela, has also been introduced, containing fine natural Southern African ingredients, such as rooibos and honey, baobab and marula nut oil.
Another new addition to the treatments on offer is Crystal Therapy. Therapists employ a special massage technique using heated spherical or palm-shaped crystals to promote healing and rejuvenation. At the hotel’s Bush Lodge Spa, a menu of treatments developed specially for children have been added to their services. The ‘Elephant Foot Print’ or ‘Busy Bee’ massages are a fun experience tailored for 2 to 12 year olds to encourage improved muscle tone, a sense of calm and enhanced concentration.

Fodor's, a renowned name in travel guides, recently announced Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve as a winner of their 100 Hotel Awards 2011, as selected by the publication's editors and travel experts. Sabi Sabi won in the "Luxurious Retreats" category and was recognised for the "secluded and intimate" nature of its Selati Camp, the unique atmosphere created by its "old railroad" theme and the "superb value for money" of its Ivory Presidential Suite.

The Olde Bell offers a unique Christmas wreath-making workshop
Great Hotels of the World member, The Olde Bell, will put on a workshop to teach a lucky number of pupils how to make a Christmas wreath. Organised by Head Gardener and Christmas Creator Mandy Hill, the workshop will take place on Friday 9th December 2011. With years of experience, Mandy will run the one day workshop from 9.30am to 5pm in the Olde Bell’s Oak Room and it will include lunch and tea and biscuit breaks. Pupils will be able to take their wreath home with them.

Gran Hotel Bahía del Duque voted most excellent hotel by Condé Nast Johansens Guide and introduces a brand new bridal programme
Great Hotels of the World is pleased to announce that member hotel Gran Hotel Bahía del Duque has been awarded one of the most important and prestigious awards in the tourism industry, the ‘most excellent hotel’ by the renowned Condé Nast Johansens Guide. Santiago Cabré, the hotel’s director collected the award and thanked those “who choose Gran Hotel Bahía del Duque as their holiday destination each year, making the hotel one of the most prestigious and highly valued hotels worldwide.”
Gran Hotel Bahía del Duque has designed a new special programme for brides-to-be. The programme, known as de Luxe Brides, starts one week prior to the wedding, offering the bride a variety of treatments, including hairstyling, make-up trials and anti-stress rituals, ensuring the bride feels completely relaxed for the important day itself.
The treatment section includes a therapeutic massage and an instant brightener treatment, which uses natural ESPA products to enhance skin brightnessand regeneration.

Royal Wing Suites and Spa gains recognition
Great Hotels of the World is delighted to announce that the Caprice restaurant at one of its member properties, Royal Wing Suites and Spa, has been awarded the ‘Best of Award of Excellence’, by the Wine Spectator Magazine New York. Wine Spectator’s Restaurant Wine List Awards recognise restaurants whose wine lists offer interesting selections, are appropriate to their cuisine and are pleasing to a range of wine enthusiasts. Four of the hotel group’s other restaurants also received the recognition.
Royal Wing Suites and Spa, together with the four other hotels of The Royal Cliff Hotels Group, was also once again inducted to the TTG Travel hall of fame honoraries list at the 22nd Annual TTG Travel Awards 2011 Awards Ceremony & Gala Dinner held in Bangkok, Thailand. With this prestigious recognition, the Royal Cliff Hotels Group holds the honour of being the only hotel in Asia to be elevated to this status. The Royal Cliff Hotels Group joined the Travel Hall of Fame in 2006 for having won awards at least 10 times.
