Great Hotels of the World Launches Travel Writing Competition
Great Hotels of the World (http://www.ghotw.com) today launches its second travel writing competition in association with TripAtlas, offering one lucky winner the chance to live the life of a travel writer. More details on travel writing competition.
The winner will be sent on a five night VIP trip for two to Midtown Hotelk in Istanbul, Turkey, inclusive of flights, transfers and a variety of added extras.
“Our previous travel writing competition was such a great success, we’ve decided to launch another one and this time we’re handing the judging over to the public,” says Carly Gotz, group director – sales and marketing at Great Hotels. “There are some very talented writers out there and this will give them a chance to have their stories published. The writer of the story with the most votes will be treated a VIP city-break to Istanbul.”
Entrants are invited to submit a story of no more than 500 words on their own travel experiences under one of the following themes. Entries should be sent to travelwriter@ghorg.com by Friday 27 August 2010.
1. Most romantic travel story
2. Funniest spa story
3. Embarrassing golf story
All entries will be posted on Great Hotels of the World’s website after the closing date, where the public will vote for their favourite story. The entry with the most votes will win the trip to Istanbul where they will write about their travel experience. Their story will be published on www.ghotw.com and http://www.tripatlas.com/
