Hotel Puente Romano hosts Andalucia Tennis Experience

Great Hotels of the World member, Hotel Puente Romano in Marbella, Spain will be hosting the Andalucia Tennis Experience at the hotel tennis club from 4 – 12 April 2009.

The clay courts of the Club de Tenis Puente Romano will be staging the first edition of the WTA tournament, boasting the presence of 32 of the world’s top 100 women’s tennis players including Serena Williams, Jelena Jankovic, Amélie Mauresmo, Virgina Ruano, Anabel Medina and Carla Suárez.

The Andalucia Tennis Experience will join the Madrid Masters and The Barcelona Ladies Open as part of the big three women’s prizes in Spain. The winner will take 280 WTA ranking points.

Hotel Puente Romano is situated on the southern coast of Spain on the Costa del Sol in the heart of the Golden Mile, a residential area between Marbella and Puerte Banús, just 35 minutes drive from the Málaga Airport. The magnificent facilities, the best possible views and the mild climate are yet more reasons to make this tournament the event of the year on the Costa del Sol.

The Hotel Puente Romano Tennis Club has 10 championship level, floodlit tennis courts (8 clay, 2 hard). Pros provide lessons and tips for the beginner to the more advanced player and special hands-on instruction is also available for the junior player.
