Great Hotels Organisation appoints new Director of Sales for North America
Great Hotels Organisation (http://www.ghorg.com), the London-based luxury sales and marketing alliance, has announced the appointment 30-year travel industry expert, Robert de Leon as Director of Sales – North America. He will be based at the company’s US office in Atlanta, Georgia.
Robert de Leon has an extensive background in the international travel sector, where he has worked for Air France, Concorde Hotels, Kuoni DMC and Mac Meeting and Events.
In his new role Robert will draw on his meetings, incentives and events experience to take full control of the growth and development of Great Hotels Organisation (GHO) in North America, focusing particularly on GHO’s Meeting & Incentive Forums (http://www.mi-forums.com). Robert will be responsible for recruiting hosted buyers and suppliers to attend GHO’s USA Meeting & Incentive Forum at The Breakers, Palm Beach, Florida (20-22 September 2009). He will also focus on recruiting luxury hotels to join the Great Hotels of the World and Special Hotels of the World brands, and promote member hotels to the USA MICE market.
