Great Hotels Organisation Strengthens Sales Team
Great Hotels Organisation (GHO, http://www.ghorg.com/), a London-based luxury sales and marketing alliance is increasing its sales team with the promotion of Mark Jones as global director of sales.
This position will see Mark taking full control of GHO’s global expansion strategy as well as taking responsibility for the Great Hotels Organisation Corporate Collection, a unique portfolio of hotels that offers travel solutions to the business traveller. These hotels have been hand-picked from GHO member hotels and hotels using GHO’s private label GDS chain code “GW”. The hotels are located in key business locations and include elements required for the business market such as breakfast, internet access, meeting rooms and other exclusive features to cater for this market. GHO is the only hotel marketing alliance with a dedicated programme for the corporate business travel sector and this compliments the existing collections for the MICE market and luxury leisure market offered by GHO.
Mark Jones, a well known figure in the hospitality industry, has been with GHO since January 2007 when he joined the company as director of corporate sales. He has been responsible for the restructuring of the corporate sales department, has developed business partnerships with key travel management companies, formed relationships with global corporate accounts and generated a healthy return from this important market segment of the travel industry to GHO member hotels and GW chain code hotels.
