Great Hotels of the World member Forte Village Resort opens Chelsea Football Club Soccer School
Forte Village Resort in Sardinia and Chelsea Football Club are delighted to announce that from May to September 2008 coaches from the English Premier League side will be taking up residence at Forte Village's Football Academy. The resort comprises seven luxury properties, all distinguished members of Great Hotels of the World (http://www.ghotw.com), representing some of the world’s finest independent hotels.
Children aged 4 - 13 will benefit from the experience and expertise of Chelsea FC's world-renowned Football in the Community team. And what better inspiration for the kids than a master-class with the club responsible for training Chelsea and England captain John Terry from a young age?
Chelsea's coaches have worked with Forte Village staff over the winter to develop a programme that will improve the participant's tactics, teach them new skills and motivate them to be better team players. The week's soccer activities will culminate in a mini tournament where everyone will have the chance to show off all their new abilities and where parents can come along to cheer them on.
This exciting partnership between Forte Village and Chelsea is born of a mutual commitment to reliability, style and excellence. It’s set to be a great opportunity for all, as children dream of future football careers and parents can relax in the lush green surroundings of the exclusive Sardinian resort.
Ron Gourlay, Chelsea Football Club Chief Operating Officer said "There is great affinity between our organisations - we are both leaders in our field, we both pride ourselves on offering the very best entertainment and style runs though everything that we do. I wish all the young people that attend a soccer course this summer at Forte Village the very best. Our Football in the Community scheme and coaches are regarded in the highest esteem around the world so I am sure they will inspire the children to play and watch football for many years to come."
Managing Director Lorenzo Giannuzzi said of the partnership "This brings immense credibility to our soccer offering and we hope that it will greatly enhance the experience our guests have at the Forte Village Football Academy. We are committed to offering the highest customer service and what better way to do this than by offering our young guests Premier League coaching."
