Celebrate bonfire night in the UK

It’s coming up to that special time of year, when the air is filled with the evocative aroma of bonfires and the skies are filled with spectacular firework displays. In the UK, many people will leave the warmth of their homes on November 5th to celebrate Guy Fawkes Night, where they will be treated to a breathtaking display of pyrotechnics. Take a trip to the UK and witness this superb tradition for yourself…

Lord Mayor’s Show - London

This event is technically not a Guy Fawkes Night celebration but it is well worth the trip to London. This renowned event promises to be one of the best displays of 2008. Expect to see stunning fireworks, and impressive festivities and parades.

When:  8th November 2008 - procession starts at 11.02am following a two-minute silence. Firework display starts at 5.00pm

Clapham fireworks display – London

An impressive firework display in the heart of South London, this event attracts thousands of people who wrap-up warm and soak up the exciting atmosphere on Clapham Common.

Where: Clapham Common, London

Nearest transport links: Clapham North and Clapham South tube stations (Clapham Common tube station will be closed)

When: November 5th 2008 at 7.30pm

Sparks in the Park  - Cardiff

Set against the majestic backdrop of Cardiff Castle, this spectacular fireworks display is hard to beat, with fairground rides for children, a giant bonfire and a fabulous display. If you’re planning a trip to Wales make sure you’re there for this event.
