Christmas Markets - Berlin, Germany, from 22 November
Berlin is the city to visit to experience traditional German Christmas markets with a choice of sixty different markets held in large boulevards, squares, small side streets and even museums!
This year marks the second time a Christmas market will be held in front of Charlottenburg Castle, featuring historical re-enactments from the Biedermeier period. WeihnachtsZauber on Gendarmenmarkt, one of the most impressive squares in Europe, is another christmas market worthy of attention.
Potsdamer Platz and the Sony Centre, where there is a Christmas market in a 4,000 square metre area, provide shopping opportunities and entertainment for both adults and kids, including Winterwelt, the largest mobile toboggan run in Europe.
For smaller markets head to the Alte Potsdamer Strasse.
