Resorts the kids will love

by Richard Kipling

Planning a family trip away can often be a gruelling experience. You have to take a great load of things into consideration: how far afield should you go? How long is the flight? Is the hotel or resort safe for children? And is there enough to entertain the little ones?

We have chosen some of our best resorts and hotels and taken the guesswork out of your family holiday.

Below you’ll find a handful of amazing properties that are great for both adults and children alike:

Aldemar Knossos Royal Village

Children will never get bored at Knossos. The resort has a wealth of facilities that will keep guests of all ages happy. Aldemar Knossos Royal Village offers seven swimming pools, including two freshwater pools for children. The resort also boasts a giant 45m waterslide, tennis, entertainment table-tennis, mini-golf, games rooms, giant chess board, and range of watersports for older children and adults.

Blue Palace Resort & Spa

This stunning resort is ideal for families. There’s a large choice of accommodation including private bungalows, many of which feature their own private swimming pool.

Families that decide to stay in other accommodation will still be able to get their feet wet, as the resort has several indoor and outdoor swimming pools too.

Children will be well-looked after at the supervised children’s club.

Bovey Castle

This beautiful English countryside retreat is the perfect place to take the family. Not only will they get to explore the natural surroundings, but they will also get the chance to have lots of fun in the play barn and children’s entertainment is provided during the school holidays. Babies are more than welcome at Bovey and special meals are provided for young guests.

Atrium Palace Thalasso Spa Resort & Village

Whilst parents relax in the sunshine, they can be rest assured that their children will find plenty of play areas to keep them occupied. This resort features fabulous split-level swimming pools, cascading waterfalls, tennis courts and a kid’s club for younger children.

Atrium palace also offers car and bike hire, so the whole family can enjoy exciting day trips outside of the resort.

Beau-Rivage Palace

This stunning lakeside property offers an abundance of features that sets the hotel apart from its non-family orientated counterparts. Special meals are provided on the room service menu, children’s TV channels in the room, and baby supplies as well as complimentary toy boxes, according to the child’s age. Children’s entertainment is also provided, in the form of treasure hunts, pastry lessons, flower lessons and a playground.

Elysium

Ideally located on a white sandy beach, this resort is a good choice for families visiting Cyprus. Whilst parents relax in the hotel spa, children will be looked after at Angel’s Kid’s Club. Families can enjoy the swimming pools, video games arcade and for younger children there’s an outdoor swimming pool. Special meals are available for children.
