Set on a semi-private beach just 22km from the glamorous marina of Puerto Banus, Gran Hotel Elba Estepona & Thalasso Spa was designed to resemble a traditional Spanish village, with stunning architectural features, pools and pretty gardens. We loved the elegant lobby (and its impressive sky-lit glass dome roof) which opened onto sea-facing terraces – perfect for lazy hours spent reading a book.
Wanting more than just a sun-sea-and-sand break, we were particularly excited about the renowned thalasso spa. And we weren’t disappointed – there was a huge selection of over 60 top-quality treatments and packages to help us relax and unwind.
By upgrading, we had a bright and spacious suite with a beautiful separate living area where we could put our feet up at the end of the day, as well as
a generously sized terrace with
There are three themed restaurants: Spanish, Asian fusion, and French/Italian, as well as a restaurant with a terrace over the pool and gardens. Bars offered an opportunity to chill with a cocktail or cold beer and simply enjoy this gorgeous setting. Gran Hotel Elba Estepona’s setting away from the Costa del Sol’s crowded beaches makes it ideal for your spa break – and with a state-of-the-art thalassotherapy spa on site, it earns every one of its five stars.
All treatments use fresh seawater and the therapies offer a multitude of natural benefits to reduce stress, detoxify, cleanse and regenerate. There is plenty to keep you occupied in the Thalasso Spa Club, including jacuzzis, water beds, saunas, a Turkish bath, thermal pools and a Japanese garden for your most unique spa experience yet. And if exercise is top of your to-do list, you can check out the fully equipped fitness centre.
A spa’s success depends on its therapies, and the choice at the Elba Estepona does not disappoint; the Six-Night Relaxation Programme includes relaxing seawater baths, pressure jets, aroma shower, back massage and use of the Thermal Club’s dynamic pool, sauna and Turkish bath. The three-day Rejuvenation and Beauty Programme includes full body peeling, regenerating bath and body massage, algae wrap, facial massage and many other pampering treatments to keep you feeling spoilt.
