TASKONAKLAR ROCKY PALACE
The stunning Taskonaklar Rocky Palace is actually a collection of ancient village houses and natural caves that were transformed into a boutique hotel in 2006 – a truly unique space where every stone, arch and chimney represents Cappadocia’s fascinating history.
We decided it would be a magical choice for our honeymoon, and a one-of-a-kind destination.
On arrival it was obvious that the hotel has not skimped on luxury – antique furniture, handmade carpets, fine linens, and modern amenities blend perfectly with the rustic features.
Each room and suite has an individual character – a welcome change from the large faceless resorts we’ve visited in the past. Our Royal Suite was huge, with a beautiful terrace complete with jacuzzi – we spent many an evening lying there together looking out over the stunning, almost lunar, landscape.
The hotel is family-run and it shows – meals are cooked by the owner’s mother. You give her your order in the morning and she cooks your dinner whenever you want it. Little touches like this make you feel as if you are a guest in their home, rather than a hotel. An unforgettable experience for an unforgettable honeymoon.
Our honeymoon was a joy – time to enjoy each other’s company in breathtaking surroundings. Cappadocia really has to be seen to be believed, surrounded by misty mountains and green peaks. Taskonaklar Rocky Palace, hewn from the very rocks, is part of the land here, and provides a unique base from which to explore this one-of-a-kind region. Subterranean spaces, rustic walls, stone archways and luxurious decor combine to make this hotel a destination in its own right. Take in the amazing views from your private terrace, cocktail in hand – especially beautiful after dark, the sky heavy with stars. HONEYMOON PACKAGE
