Some of the most famous views in the world can be seen from the island of Santorini. And some of the best views of this stunning island and nearby volcano can be enjoyed from The Majestic Hotel . We were mesmerised by its beauty the moment we arrived for our week-long holiday.

Located on the edge of Fira town, the luxurious Majestic has been designed to complement the stunning volcanic landscape, with architecture that draws on traditional island style.

Swimming pools of shimmering blue water offer respite from the summer heat, and there are loungers and parasols for relaxing with a chilled drink from the Pool Bar. The interior of the hotel is as breathtaking as the surroundings – stylish white with splashes of bright blue, innovative lighting and stylish furniture. Our room was beautiful, with awe-inspiring views of the volcano framed by huge windows.

There are numerous facilities including three swimming pools, a jacuzzi, hammam, and spa with an impressive menu of beauty treatments. We felt cared for and pampered from the moment we arrived. The Majestic Hotel is located in Santorini, surrounded by crystal clear water and the bluest skies. The views of the Aegean Sea are stunning, adding to the character and charm of the resort. The landscapes provide the perfect backdrop, whether you’re enjoying a meal in the restaurant or sitting out on the deck with a cocktail. We enjoyed lounging by the pool with a book and soaking up the sun – my favourite way to relax.

We took a boat trip to the dormant volcano and swam in the hot springs. The hotel arranged for us to visit the excavations at Thera, dating from the 11th century BC – a glimpse of island life thousands of years ago.

Because it is a volcanic island, Santorini is ringed with black sand beaches – a unique sight that should not be missed. The soil is ideal for growing grapes, so make sure you try some of the island’s local wine. There are numerous tavernas and restaurants nearby – hotel staff are helpful and can recommend the best.
