Hotel Overview
The colourful history of the Berkeley goes back to the early 19th century although the building it now occupies was completed in the 1970s. This purpose built hotel has superb facilities including a roof top pool with retracting roof. The Berkeley overlooks Hyde Park and is within easy reach of the exclusive shops of Knightsbridge and many of London’s renowned museums and landmarks.

There are 103 rooms and 55 suites with a variety of styles from William Morris prints to art deco furnishings, classic to contemporary with sitting areas in all the rooms, some of the suites have conservatory terraces and some have their own saunas. The bathrooms are spacious and luxuriously appointed with complementary Floris toiletries. The rooms are all equipped with high-speed Internet access via the TV or laptop, video conferencing facilities, direct dial telephone with voice mail, CD and DVD players and satellite TV.
Hotel Dining
The Michelin starred Petrus restaurant with its rich red interiors like the claret from the famous chateau it is named after, opened in the Berkeley in autumn 2003 and has a reputation as one of London’s best restaurants. Petrus is open for lunch and dinner Monday to Friday and for dinner only on Saturday. An alternative to the formality of Petrus is the Boxwood Café an informal atmosphere is Gordon Ramsay’s, the renowned chef, take on an upscale New York style café. The menu includes simple but delicious sandwiches, salads and ice creams. It is open for lunch and dinner every day. The whimsical Blue Bar is oh so blue and with its white onyx bar and black crocodile print leather floor oh so chic. There is an impressive range of whiskies, around 50, to choose from along with a great wine list and of course delicious cocktails. The bar has a Grape and Smoke menu designed to pair cigars with carefully chosen wines for a wonderful aromatic experience. There is a menu of savoury and sweet tapas style dishes to enjoy throughout the evening. The Caramel Room is open all day for light meals and traditional afternoon tea. The room is a cocoon of soft chocolate coloured walls and faux crocodile fabrics the perfect place to enjoy one of the amazing bespoke doughnuts with a superb coffee from Illy Gourmet. There is 24- hour room service.

Superbly located to enjoy all the highlights of London there is so much to enjoy. For shopping Harrods and Harvey Nichols are a stones throw away as are the exclusive designer shops of Sloane Street.
