A dream weekend
Unlike many hotels of this category, you feel your weekend will be wonderful from the very first minute of your stay when you push the magnificent door of La Sultana. The structure of the hotel which is an assembly of several smaller ryads makes the atmosphere very cosy, very intimate. You feel at home in these big suites, each decorated in a different style but always with taste. The restaurant is one of the best in town. The pool is very enjoyable after a walk in the majorelle gardens or bargaining for hours at the souk. The hotel also enjoys a traditionally-decorated spa run by very nice people; the hammam is a must, specially given that you will be on your own with your companion and a Moroccan woman who will scratch your skin until you are perfectly clean (quite an experience if you have never done it - even men enjoy the spa for once). I forget the wonderful view on the whole city when you have your breakfast or enjoy some sunbathing on the roof of the hotel. In brief, this hotel is so beautiful, comfortable, charming, etc.. that it is difficult sometimes to remember that you came to visit the city in the first place and that you should get out of the hotel at some point.
This was our first trip to Marrakech, but we know we will go back if only to stay at La Sultana once again.
