The resort’s 57 Luxury Villas are set in a crescent facing the sea. Each one comprises a bedroom, outdoor living area and alfresco dining area, patio courtyard, expansive terrace and private plunge pool. Facilities include a mini-bar fridge, coffeemaker, kettle and CD player.
Alongside the plunge pool is a raised platform with a comfortable daybed – perfect for relaxing in the sun.

Luxury Suite Villa
The six Luxury Suite Villas sit directly on the glorious beach. Each comprises a bedroom and separate living room, generous terrace and infinity-edge plunge pool. These can be connected to a one-bedroom villa.
Living rooms and bedrooms feature plasma Tvs and DVD players, along with wireless internet connection. There is also a mini-bar fridge, coffeemaker and kettle. All suites have a separate washroom off the entrance lobby.

The suite’s terrace features shaded sofas and a dining table that seats six. Alongside the plunge pool is a raised platform with a comfortable daybed.

Presidential Suite
The two 435sqm Presidential Suites take pride of place at the centre of the resort’s crescent beach. From the living room, glass doors frame stunning views of the 58sqm infinity pool, ocean, and mountain peak. The two large bedrooms share the same views and boast large four-poster beds.

The Taj Mauritius food experience includes casual relaxed meals and formal fine dining. At Coast2Coast guests can enjoy Mediterranean, Mauritian and international dishes, while Cilantro offers pan-Asian and Indian delights and boasts an impressive wine list. Breakers is a contemporary bar with an open terrace, where guests can relax on comfortable lounge seating overlooking the ocean.

Mauritius is most famous for its endless white sand beaches, lapped by iridescent turquoise sea and dotted with palm trees. Water sports abound, and diving is especially popular, as the region is ringed with coral reefs. However, there are plenty of other attractions to be enjoyed.
For example, explore the French colonial architecture of Port Louis. This city was founded by the French governer of Mauritius in the 18th Century, and there are some fine examples of its past grandeur. Mauritius’ most famous one-time inhabitant, the now-extinct dodo, can be seen at the Natural History Museum in Port Louis.
There are a number of national parks in Mauritius – including Domaine Les Pailles, Domaine des Grandes Bois, Réserve Forrestiére Macchabée and Riviére Noire National Park – where the island’s diverse flora and fauna can be seen, including orchids, monkeys, and the rare Mauritian Pink Pigeon.
The Pamplemousses Gardens showcases the work of 18th Century horticulturist Pierre Poivre, with rare lilies and other plants from around the world.
