There are 132 rooms, 11 deluxe suites and one presidential suite. The decor is a blend of plantation style wooden furniture and shutters with tropical print fabrics. The rooms have furnished patios with views over the bay or the courtyard. Bathrooms are marble and granite with walk in showers while separate bathtubs feature in most rooms. The comfortable beds have crisp white linen and oversized fluffy pillows, bathrobes and slippers are provided. Facilities in the rooms include a lap top size safe, high speed wireless Internet connection, in-room movies with DVD players, fridge and coffee maker.

The First Cabin restaurant has a spectacular water front setting and superb cuisine; it is the main restaurant for the resort and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Menus take advantage of the fabulous seasonal Californian produce including fresh pacific seafood and delicious world-renowned wines. The ambiance suits both intimate and party dining, alfresco tables are available most of the year on the heated patio and there are great views of the bay to enjoy. In Duke’s Place, named after former club member John Wayne, jazz musicians play nightly and light meals and snacks are served along with drinks and cocktails. The Balboa Bay Club and Resort offers 24-hour room service and yacht charter catering.
