The Wellness Centre specialises in a variety of treaments, all practiced by professionally trained specialists. These include reflexology, aromatherapy and stone massages.

Room Options
Accommodation at Thanda is as unique as the location and surrounding wildlife and nature. It consists of 9 luxury bush villas, or suites, and 4 luxury tents, or rooms.
Adjacent to the main lodge, the bush villas all offer opulent luxury and comfort, spread over 220 square meters with a bedroom, lounge, bathroom and outdoor areas. Bush villa facilities include:

Dining at Thanda is as varied and enchanting as the bush surrounding you. All food is prepared by the reserve's chefs and can be enjoyed in various locations and venues.

Getting to Thanda Private Game Reserve
Thanda Private Game Reserve is located off the N2, 25km north of Hluhluwe. Durban is approximately 300km to the south. Thanda is accessed from the N2 by driving over a gravel road for 5 km.
The drive from Durban takes around 3 hours, and 4 to 5h from Johannesburg. The closest airport is Richards Bay, with transfers available from most domestic airports including Johannesburg and Durban. Thanda staff will meet you at Richards Bay airport and take you to the reserve.
Private charter flights can be catered from Johannesburg directly to Thanda with Thanda Air, taking you to Mkhuze, 15 minutes from the reserve. Rates and availability for those charters can be inquired for directly with the hotel.
