Things to do in Santa Margherita Di Pula

Sardinia's rich history is apparent throughout the island - Roman ruins, Nuraghi (3,500 years old stone fortresses) and pre-historical archeological sites all offer an insight into its past.

Cagliari, the capital, is only an hour away and an ideal destination with its museums, historical buildings, shops and markets.

Sardinia is most famous for its beaches and beautiful sea - snorkelling, diving and other water sports are all available during most of the year thanks to a temperate weather that means even winters are cool and agreeable.

Charter boats to visit the grottos and coves lining the island is another great way to spend the day. Mountain activities are also available inland as is the 'Trenino Verde' or green train which takes in spectacular views of the island and surrounding regions.

Lastly Sardinia is also renowned for its vineyards making wine-tasting tours a popular attraction and a great way to discover one of the many culinary attractions of this island.
