Lake Placid is situated 16 miles from Adirondack Regional Airport. During the summer months, charter flights can land directly at Lake Placid Municipal Airport.

Amtrak Rail operates service to the town of Westport, 40 miles away. Shuttle services can be arranged. Alternatively, Mountain Lake Inn is a 5 hour drive from New York City, via Albany and route 87.
