Romantic Features

The unrivalled setting of the Minoa Palace Resort & Spa 5* means that couples can enjoy the dreamy white beaches at Platanias, or just relax around the four pools or heavenly gardens.

Dining is a pleasure at Minoa Palace. Head to The Olive Tree for delicious breakfast and dinner buffets. The stylish à la carte restaurant Ta Nissia serves Greek and international cuisine and hosts regular theme nights.

There are three bars at the Minoa Palace: the Mythos Piano Bar, serving cocktails and beverages in the lounge area; and the Beach Bar and Thalassa Pool Bar, both serving coffees, ice creams, beers and cocktails.

Three outdoor swimming pools wend their way through the grounds of the hotel, and there is also a children’s swimming pool and an indoor heated pool. Relax and enjoy the sunset from one of the open-air jacuzzis, or head to the sauna/hammam and jacuzzi suite. There is a fitness centre, beauty salon and hairdressing salon, as well as a jewellery boutique. An internet room is available for guest use.

Things to do Together

The vibrant history of Chania – in many ways Crete’s spiritual capital – is evident throughout. Venetian castles, Roman baths, Byzantine churches, Turkish minarets and Phoenician and Saracen ruins make up this attractive city. It clusters around the harbour and most tourists confine themselves to this area or the fringes of the new town up towards the bus station.

Samaria National Park should be on every visitor’s list. The majestic Samaria Gorge is a must-see, and you may even be lucky enough to spot the island’s famous kri-kri goats.

Crete has something for everyone – bustling tourist spots, untouched fishing villages, idyllic beaches, dramatic mountains and countless museums documenting the island’s history. The birthplace of many of Greece’s ancient legends, Crete’s timeless magic will stay with you long after you leave.
