For outdoor fun, guests can venture down to the secluded ivory beach to swim, surf or dive using watersports equipment hired from the hotel. The hotel has complimentary surfing, bodyboarding and scuba-diving classes.

The hotel also boasts an extensive fitness centre with an exercise room, steam room, sauna and whirlpool.

Guests can use the hotel's bicycles to discover the beautiful island of Oahu. The Spa at Kahala Hotel & Resort offers five luxurious suites, each featuring a private tropical garden, an infinitely edged deep soaking bath, a relaxation area and glass enclosed shower.

This Hawaiian retreat captures a traditional ambience of the island with plantation shutter doors, wood flooring and ceiling fans to help each guest relax in the serene tranquillity. Treatments on offer include the indulgent Hawaiian Synchronised Massage, a four-hand massage carried out by two holistic therapists who guarantee spiritual bliss using body exfoliation, deep stretching, and body rolling.

Another treatment embracing Hawaiian culture and philosophies is the Kahala Overflowing Bath where water cascades over a bath full of minerals. The hotel is home to five Atlantic bottlenose dolphins at the natural lagoon situated in the hotel grounds. Rare fish, Hawaiian green sea turtles and a flowing waterfall all accompany the dolphins. A popular activity at the hotel is the Dolphin Encounter where guests can swim with the dolphins, along with a supervisor.

The hotel donates a proportion of the fee to organisations in support of marine education. Guests can also participate in many Hawaiian traditions including Lauhala Weaving, Ukulele and Hula Classes.

Private yachts can be hired around the island for an intimate romantic day trip or a deep sea fishing excursion. For accompanied trips on the ocean, guests can take the Sunset Dinner Cruise in a catamaran to experience traditional Hawaiian dishes. For a traditional evening Luaus are often held on the island along with Polynesian shows. In downtown Honolulu the Iolani Palace, the only royal palace on US soil, is a popular tourist attraction as well as the Pearl Harbour, where tourists can view the Arizona Memorial from a boat and tour the U.S.S Missouri.
