About the hotel
Since 1913 the Victoria Palace Hôtel’s elegant façade has been a landmark of the Left Bank in Paris. Situated ideally between Saint-Germain-des-Prés and Montparnasse, the hotel offers a perfect romantic retreat in this bustling city, popular with fashion, art and antique lovers. The warm red tones of the Cardinal bar-lounge and the cosy fireplace in the Calico Parlour greet guests as soon as they step into the lobby, welcoming them to a peaceful haven designed for comfort. Over half the 62 spacious rooms are either suites or junior suites, which are elegantly decorated in a Louis XVI style with stretched fabrics on the walls, and feature canopied beds, marble bathrooms, dataports and satellite television. One of the last truly residential sections of Paris’ historic centre, the Left Bank entertains visitors with its artistic attractions, such as the Musée d’Orsay, historic sites, designer fashion boutiques and scores of restaurants and cafés.

Things to do | |
Saint-Germain-des-Prés comprises a quaint 17th Century maze of cobbled streets surrounding the 11th Century abbey church. This is a natural place for antique hunting in the local shops, or taking a leisurely stroll before dinner is served in one of the quintessentially Parisian restaurants. Rediscover the ‘je ne sais quoi” that makes Paris such a romantic city. Visit the 18th Century town house and beautiful gardens that were once used by the sculptor Auguste Rodin. After his death, it was transformed into a museum showcasing several of his sensual works. Walk through the Left Bank to the Ile Saint Louis, meandering along the way around the quai des Augustins and then crossing the Seine to reach Notre Dame. The island itself is frozen in time, with its 17th Century streets. And finally, a trip to Paris wouldn’t be complete without taking in the awe-inspiring Eiffel Tower. | "...The food was very nice, the bed was very soft. The staff were friendly and helpful...."
