The Olde Bell Hotel is located in beautiful Berkshire, only 45 minutes away from Central London. Created by Ilse Crawford, who also designed Soho House New York and the Grand Hotel Stockholm, The Olde Bell is a re-invention of the traditional English inn - complete with burning wood fireplace and parts of the building dating back to 1135. The rooms don’t dominate the hotel, preferring to let the natural beauty of the building’s style shine through and create a unique space within which to relax and unwind away from the city.
The hotel has a fascinating history, including being the site of a plot to overthrow the monarchy and a house for meetings between Winston Churchill and Dwight Eisenhower, as well as being a regular hotspot for Hollywood starlets like Elizabeth Taylor. Indulge in a luxurious meal in the famous restaurant, then sit back with a glass of wine and watch the fireplace sparkle.
