The Grand Bar and Lounge offer sophisticated cocktails in an elegant setting. The interiors feature floor to ceiling windows, with luscious chocolate coloured drapes, overlooking West Broadway. The plush furnishings include pony skin covered seats, low cocktail tables, wood panelling, distressed mirrors and a soft amber glow from the lighting in the evening. Contemporary American cuisine may be ordered in the Grand Bar and Lounge, the more intimate Gallery or in the warmer months the Yard with a shaded patio and grassy lawn.

Things to do in New York City

Soho stands for South of Houston Street and is an upmarket area of lower Manhattan. The district has a rich history, original cobblestone streets and old buildings make a picturesque setting for designer boutiques, trendy bars and restaurants. All the attractions of the city are within easy reach of the subway or by taxi for example; Central Park is 3 miles, Times Square 2.5 miles and the Statue of Liberty 1.3 miles away. New York’s theatre district and numerous night clubs and bars are also within reasonable distance of the hotel; the concierge team are a rich source of information and advice for entertainment and tour itineraries. New York is ideal for incentive groups with so much going on in this exciting, iconic city.

Getting to Soho Grand Hotel

The closest subway stops to the hotel are Canal Street & Thompson Street or Canal Street & Broadway. New York has three main airports; JFK, LaGuardia and Newark. Driving times from these airports vary enormously depending on the traffic and time of day. JFK is approximately 15 miles from Manhattan, Newark 11 miles and LaGuardia 8 miles. Apart from taxis the AirTrain operates for transfers from both JFK and Newark.
