The award-winning Atlanta Grill, with its friendly environment, flawless service and Southern-inspired cuisine, has vintage photographs of downtown Atlanta on the walls and the popular ‘Cheaters Booth’ - an intimate table seating six people with drapes for privacy. Guests can also eat outside on the veranda overlooking the city or hire private dining rooms. Chef Peter Zampagliones serves up regional specialities and traditional favourites in the shape of grilled steaks, game and seafood. Things to do in Atlanta
Atlanta is a great hub of business activity. It is also a regional center for nightlife, entertainment and sports attractions. It has a temperate climate that makes club-hopping, late-night shopping and outdoor activities a pleasure all year round. Buckhead is the centre for nightlife, restaurants, coffee shops and shopping malls, including Lennox Square Mall, the largest shopping mall in southern USA. Zoo Atlanta and the Atlanta Cyclorama & Civil War Museum are located in the Grant Park area. The Cyclorama, a 42 feet-high 360-degree painting of the battle of Atlanta, has been on public display since 1898 and is the world’s largest painting. For Gone with the Wind fans, a short walk from the hotel is Margaret Mitchell’s house and museum where she wrote the famous novel. West of Atlanta, theme park daredevils will discover Six Flags Over Georgia, 20 miles out of downtown Atlanta. The Ritz Carlton Atlanta is 15 minutes from Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport. In the Ground Transportation Centre based in the airport all buses, taxis, limousines and shuttles can be picked up from here. You can take a taxi from the airport to downtown for $20, or a shuttle bus for $8, or the train for $1.50. MARTA, Atlanta's mass transit system, can transport you around the city very efficiently and very economically.
