The region surrounding Hotel Puente Romano is dramatic and mountainous, with isolated whitewashed villages and ancient ruins.
Day trips to Ronda – 800 metres above sea level and famous for its deep gorge and Spain’s oldest bullring – can be organised for groups.
Other suggested day excursions include Andalucia’s three great cities – Cordoba, Seville and Granada, with its famous Alhambra palace. Be sure to discover Mijas, a whitewashed town perched in the mountains, and explore Malaga’s famed Picasso Museum. It is also possible to visit Gibraltar and Tangier.
