 The hotel facilities are superb, with three restaurants, two bars and large outdoor saltwater pools. Guests will find plenty of opportunities to relax at the health club, which boasts a sauna, jacuzzi, cold plunge pool and an indoor heated seawater pool, while the elegant wellness centre offers the most up-to-date treatments and massages.
Tennis courts, a full-scale football pitch and a driving range with putting green are located on the extensive landscaped grounds.

There are 195 well-equipped guest rooms including 19 suites, either with a sea or garden view, and all boasting balconies.

Magnificent views over the beach can be enjoyed at Almofariz & Sale e Pepe restaurant, which serves Portuguese and Italian cuisine. The local Algarvian dishes as well as specialities from the Tuscan region ensure the restaurant is always a popular choice. A superb alternative is the Moroccan-themed Harira restaurant, while the pool-level Ocean Bistro is based in the heart of the hotel, and presents alfresco dining at its best. Themed evening buffets and entertainment are available in all the restaurants during the summer.

The Pestana Alvor Praia boasts a meeting and conference centre comprising 12 new rooms, with capacities for between 12 and 580 people.

The Algarve’s 300 days of sunshine make the destination ideal for outdoor activities all year. There are 29 golf courses (within 15 kms of the hotel), five theme parks, a go-karting circuit and three ten-pin bowling centres in the area. Other activities can be arranged  amid the Monchique mountains, such as cycling, hiking and 4x4 trails.
Aside from sports and adventure activities, groups may wish to explore the diversity of the Algarve’s landscapes, such as the hills in the north, which are dotted by white villages, fertile valleys and varied flora and fauna, and the coastal regions.
