About the hotel

Maca Bana is a unique luxury resort in Grenada, hidden on a hillside overlooking the sandy Magazine beach and crystal waters of the Caribbean sea.

‘Maca’ is the ancient Arawak word for tree and ‘bana’ means place of dwelling. Thus Maca Bana comprises a combination of privacy and intimacy in its individual villas and the services and facilities of a small, luxury boutique hotel. Maca Bana offers seven solar-powered 'banas' located on a cliff, each with its own ocean views, hot tub and sun deck. Each villa is named after an indigenous fruit tree and features art and design by resident artist and co-owner Rebecca Thompson.

A different, unique and inspiring destination on the Caribbean island of Grenada, Maca Bana awaits those travellers seeking a truly memorable, peaceful and enchanting holiday experience.
