About the hotel
A destination in its own right, after two years of stunning renovation in partnership with Historical Monuments, La Sultana captures the charm of luxury riads from a bygone age. Discerning travellers are lured by the fairytale atmosphere and luxurious interiors found in each riad, which are more like private homes, but still feel like part of the deluxe boutique hotel. Each of the sumptuous rooms and suites are individually decorated, with fireplaces, unusual antiques and art collections and bathrooms that resemble Roman temples. From the rooftop terraces guests can enjoy dazzling 360º views of the imperial city of Marrakech. Lounge on large deckchairs or get refreshed in the jacuzzi before or after a unique customised spa treatment. Finish off the day with a candlelit dinner in one of the cosy rooms, which seat only a few guests at a time to create a secluded ambience.

| "...I had a great time in Marrakech, we loved the hotel and staff were incredibly warm. There was a bit of confusion at the end as they were not aware I had pre-paid for transfer from/to airport, and I also paid GHTW extra for a limousine transfer but actually received the standard Toyota 4x4 transfer (which was fine). We can recommend: Villa des les oranges: good for a quiet meal for two. Le Comptoir: lively evening for a more rowdy night with belly dancers...." Things to do | |
Marrakech is an imperial city with 12 kilometres of ramparts constructed over 900 years ago. Enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride around the historical city and its enchanting palm groves. The hotel’s chefs can prepare a picnic especially for your trip. Spend an exhilarating day exploring the landscape of the Atlas Mountains in a Land Rover, including lunch at the Kasbah du Toubkal, relaxation at a hammam or a mule ride to an outlying Berber village. Discover the Bahia Palace, a 14th Century masterpiece featuring 150 rooms built for the Sultan Alaouite, his four spouses and his 24 ‘unofficial’ partners. The palace is located just five minutes from the hotel. Alternatively, why not take a hot-air balloon ride at sunset over Marrakech’s desert landscapes, palm groves and snow-capped Atlas mountains? | "...I had a great time in Marrakech, we loved the hotel and staff were incredibly warm.
