Kupu Kupu Barong was the first luxury hotel built in Ubud, the region famed for its traditional arts and Balinese dances. Surrounded by lush tropical gardens, Kupu Kupu Barong overlooks the spectacular Ayung River valley.
Fully renovated in 2004, this property is one of Bali’s finest boutique hotels and is the ideal retreat for even the most demanding traveller.
All 20 villas feature spacious bedrooms and balconies overlooking the tropical paradise of the valley below. Thatched roofs, redwood walls, sumptuous local fabrics and handicrafts create a refined atmosphere, making a break at Kupu Kupu Barong an unforgettable romantic experience.
