October 2002 saw the official opening of The Montgomerie Dubai Golf Course with its 14 lakes and 72 bunkers. The course is the first example of the association between champion golfer Colin Montgomerie and top architect Desmond Muirhead.

Towers Rotana Hotel is located on Sheikh Zayed Road, in the heart of Dubai’s residential and business districts. Standing tall opposite the Dubai World Trade Centre and Exhibition Halls, Towers Rotana Hotel is 5 minutes from Jumeirah Beach front, minutes away from Media & Internet City, shopping centres and is linked to the express highway connecting the airport and within 20 kilometres from the Jebel Ali Free Zone. 
Sites worth visiting include the historic old town and traditional souks, which sell everything from spices to jewellery. Popular shopping centres such as the famous Burjuman, City Centre and Wafi Centre are just a short drive from the hotel. And if you need help with your bags, the hotel runs a regular shuttle bus to and from the centres. Throughout the year, Dubai hosts international events ranging from sporting fixtures to shopping festivals. These include the Rugby Sevens in December, Dubai International Tennis Championships in February or March and the Dubai Shopping Festival, which takes place in January.
