The Golf

Located south of historic Charleston, Kiawah Island Golf Resort allows players to sample the creations of five masters of modern course architecture, without ever leaving the island.
Pete Dye, Jack Nicklaus, Tom Fazio, Gary Player and Clyde Johnston have fashioned a championship course each from Kiawah’s sandy dune ridges and subtropical canopies of pines, oaks and palmetto palms.
The collection includes the famed Ocean Course, ranked as one of the top 100 courses in the USA by leading golf magazines. It has played host to the Ryder Cup 1991, the World Cup of Golf 1997, the inaugural UBS Warburg Cup 2001 and the exhilarating 2003 WGC-World Cup.
There are driving ranges and practice greens at all courses. Turtle Point is the location of the state-of-the-art Kiawah Golf Learning Centre – home of the Golf Academy at Kiawah Island Golf Resort.
