The Golf
Carrington Golf Course suits players of varying skill levels while presenting a challenge to tournament golfers. Designed by Matt Dye, a leading member of the new generation of American golf course designers, this magnificent 100 acre, seaside layout meanders around the resort, and includes extensive natural conservation areas within the golf course. The course runs towards the beautiful, 15-metre-high sand dunes of Karikari Beach, and there are views to the North Cape of New Zealand over 900 acres of natural wetlands. The course is bordered by Carrington’s Black Angus stud farm and the 101-acre Karikari Estate Vineyard and Winery. The 605 metre 14th is the longest hole in New Zealand. The overall length of the course from the Tiger tees is also one of the longest in the South Pacific, at 6450 metres. The resort also offers six practice putting greens, four practice chipping holes and a practice driving net.
