Savic Hotel is housed in the U Pelikana building, which was built in the 14th century as the residence of the Hazmburk family. In 1458, it was acquired by King Jiri z Podebrad, who installed exquisite decorative ceilings and had his insignia painted on the walls.
In the 17th century, the building and nearby church were donated to a Dominican friary who added baroque features, including arches and interior windows, to both structures during renovations. The gothic and baroque additions are still visible today, and further renovations made since it became a hotel have preserved all the original features.
