The first five-star quinta in Madeira to host guests, this 158-year-old manor house has been transformed into a wonderful hotel with fine paintings and beautiful antique furniture. It is conveniently situated on a hillside on the north-west outskirts of Funchal, just over a mile from the city centre. The 20,000sqm gardens feature towering trees and many exotic species of plants.

Gala dinners and Madeiran buffets can be arranged.
