THINGS TO DO | |
Bangkok is friendly and vibrant, with much to offer travellers. A good introduction to the city is to take a boat cruise down the Chao Praya River. Here you will see the real Bangkok - float past back gardens to catch a glimpse of everyday life, and buy fruit from a floating market. Bangkok is all about temples, and there are some you really mustn’t miss. Wat Po, for example, houses the famous golden reclining Buddha, and is worth a visit. The Khao San Road is a mecca for travellers, with its lively night market, great bars and delicious street food. Tour operators are plentiful here, and this is the starting point for trips to the islands and the north of the country. The Shanghai Inn is located in Chinatown, the main trading point for the Thais and Chinese for the last 200 years. The area is full of shops, stalls and Chinese restaurants, and is one of the most vibrant dining areas of Bangkok. | "...This is a very excellent hotel. We had a pleasurable time here and hope many more people come and stay here...." Ivana Humbakok, Turkey View All guest comments Review this hotel |
