- How do I cancel my hotel booking?

Simply click on the Amend/Cancel Booking link on the Home Page and
follow the simple steps. If you intend to cancel your booking, it must be done according
to the hotel cancellation policy that was stated at the time of your booking.

This varies with the type of rate selected and the hotel selected. All Great Rate
reservations are charged at time of booking, as are any service fees noted in the
rates and policies section of the site. For additional information, please refer
to your hotel's individual deposit policy.
- Is the price per room or per person?

Hotel prices are generally based on a per room price however they may change based
on the number of people staying in the room. When making a hotel booking, you will
be asked to enter the number of people (adults and children) staying in each hotel
room. It is important that you enter this information correctly to ensure the rates
quoted are correct.
- What if I'm unsure that my booking has gone through?

If you have made a booking on the website and have had some difficulty seeing the
confirmation screen, your session has timed out or your screen hangs/freezes, please
don't make another booking. Please contact us by telephone or email.
- How do I pay for my hotel?

Payment policies vary according to the hotel. When you make a hotel booking, Great
Hotels of the World will tell you whether you must pay a deposit, the full amount
or just give your credit card details as a guarantee.
- How secure is my booking?

All reservations and forms used to retrieve reservations send information in an
encrypted format.
- What does it mean when I see a sign next to the hotel information
that says 'Great Rate'?

- What happens once I've made my hotel booking?

Once you've completed a hotel booking you'll be taken to a confirmation screen.
This shows your complete booking including the address of your hotel and the hotel
check-in times. You should print out this itinerary and present to the hotel when
you check in.
- Can the hotel arrange a taxi to meet me from my plane or train?

Some hotels run a shuttle service picking up guests from the airport or train station.
This should be mentioned in the hotel details. If not they may be able to arrange
a taxi for you. You should mention this on the special request form on the booking
engine. If transportation is critical for you, we recommend that you reconfirm this
with the hotel.
